International Metropolis Conference 2016 in Aichi-Nagoya

  The Organizing Committee of the International Metropolis Conference 2016 in Aichi-Nagoya has started.                               

         

  This is the first time to host this conference in Asia. The conference is not just for Japan but for Asia. Therefore, there should be the Organizing Committee, which consists of members not only from Japan, but also from Korea, China, the Philippines, and India as well as the United States and International Organization for Migration. 


THEME

  The themes of the conference (provisional) is "Exploring wisdom for mutual trust (peace) through migration, integration and diversity," with community of "resilience and sustainability".    


   On 24 October 2016, there will be almost ten study tours in the Great Nagoya region followed by reception. From 25 to 28 October, there will be two plenary sessions in the morning each day followed by workshops in the afternoon (except 28 October).  The workshops will be organized by participant who have submitted application. The registration and application for workshops will be starting in April 2016.
